Laura Kubicki

Laura brings over 18 years of experience in marketing and sales to Spotlight Media, Inc. Upon earning her bachelor’s degree with honors in 1992, she immediately relocated to Rochester, New York to begin her career with the Eastman Kodak Company in the Consumer Imaging Division as a sales representative servicing small businesses, regional and national film/camera/processing accounts.

She was soon promoted to the One Time Use camera marketing team where she was responsible for the national marketing and promotion of disposable cameras. Her responsibilities included advertising and promotion, new product development/line extension, packaging, pricing, sales execution and distribution, internet marketing, sponsorships, and management of the company’s nationally recognized camera recycling program.  She has worked with multiple agencies including JWT, Saatchi & Saatchi, Olgilvy and Mather, The Wolf Group, and Icon Graphics, to develop and execute national TV, print, and direct mail campaigns.  She has also had direct sales responsibility for the nations largest retailers including WalMart, KMart, Target, Sam’s, and Costco.  During this time, Laura also earned her MBA.

Laura’s next move was to the Xerox Corporation where she held responsibility for penetrating and developing the “SOHO”  (small office/home office) market.  Hired for her consumer marketing expertise, she worked to develop the company’s paper product lines to meet the needs and distribution requirements for retailers like Staples, Office Max, and Office Depot, in addition to WalMart, Kmart, Target etc.  Laura then moved into pharmaceuticals for over ten years working for Eli Lilly & Company, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, and finally Abbott Laboratories, earning multiple sales and marketing awards for her accomplishments.

She now owns Spotlight Media Inc., which she operates with her husband, Jason.  Laura and Jason reside in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and together have two young sons.  In addition to spending time with her family and friends, Laura is an avid reader, loves to cook, enjoys movies, the beach, the mountains, animals, gardening, and politics.  She also volunteers her time with the local chapter of the NC Arthritis Foundation and her church.
